5 different guided tours
In French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese adapted to each level of the French Education programme and developed by a teacher specially assigned to the project, from the Indre-et-Loire Academy (duration approximately 1 hour).
A teacher's Booklet
A written guide (in French) to help prepare the visit with work sheets based on ten different themes, a family tree portraying the Valois dynasty and a chronological frieze of the XVIth century. Booklet offered to groups having booked a guided tour (public price 10 €). Published with the backing of the Indre-et-Loire Academy.
Educational area (from april 2008)
An area open exclusively to guided groups, with a teacher available for the group at the end of the visit (on request). Presence of educational documents: model of the Royal House, chronological frieze in large format, family tree to be completed with magnetic parts, maps on the military campaigns of the Valois kings in Italy, explanations on how to insert the locking keystone in an arch, collection of tufa stones (recommended duration: 30 minutes).
Admission fees in 2008 to the "Guided tour for school groups": 4.8 €/child (aged 7 to 14) + 65 €/group, comprenant l’envoi de la fiche descriptive du parcours, l'envoi du guide de l’enseignant, l’accès au château, la mise à disposition d’un guide conférencier, l’accès exclusif à l’espace pédagogique.
Welcome for tour groups
An external tour guide may have access to the site by following the instructions given by the castle staff. Admission fees in 2008 to the "Guided tour for school groups" : 4.8 €/child (aged 7 to 14)
A « History of Costume and Calligraphy » Workshop
For children from the age of 8. |

Discovery with a historian of Renaissance costumes with different models; making of accessories. Followed by the learning of the art of calligraphy. Admission fee for the 2 workshops combined, for 15 children. Fixed price of 700 € (depending on the availability of external organizers)
