From 3rd to 26th September* on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 4.30 pm. * except on National Heritage Days
Individual visitors (in small groups made up on site) are granted exceptional access to the underground passages and towers of the medieval fortress located just under the Renaissance-style Royal apartments. Thus, at the foot of the ramparts they will enter the Garçonnet Tower built in the 15th century on the orders of Louis XI and then go on to visit the Salle des Lys, once the refectory for the guards. From there, visitors will make their way along the rampart walk which will take them as far as the ditches of the old watch tower, past the rooms containing lapidary fragments. The visitors then enter the maze of underground passages taking them to the Minimes cavalry tower.
A one-hour guided visit in French for individual visitors in good physical condition, from the age of 7. Small groups will be formed on site (with a maximum of 18 visitors).
It is recommended to book on weekdays with our secure internet payment systems.
