“Christmas through the centuries”

“Christmas through the centuries”

From 2nd december 2017 to 7th january 2018

“Christmas, Christmas!” These cries of joy from the princes still resonate through the royal loggia. But, nativity festivities have evolved greatly over the centuries, from the Renaissance, from the 18th and 19th centuries, in the specially decorated royal loggia. This year, a collection of Christmas wreathes enriches these decorations and reveals the secret of their origins, from the ancient rites of winter solstice to celebrations of the birth of Christ.
