Safety warning before your visit

The visitor in question must be accompanied by an able-bodied person due to the presence of ramparts, and slopes in the gardens.

When you arrive at the ticket office:

Ask for the new audio-guide which proposes an adapted visit in French and English with audio descriptions. A visit developed in partnership with the association Valentin Haüy. Keyboard equipped with Braille markings.

Swell paper description sheets of the monument are available free of charge for individual visitors, on request from the ticket office.

Fee : adapted audio-guided visit included in the château admission fee

Visit of the Royal House:

  • New: Presence of a tactile model of the château as it is today, and a layout of the château in the Renaissance, located in the Guards' room in the Royal House (in the first room).
  • Visitors with this disability are exceptionally authorised to touch collection items and decorations which are not too fragile.
  • Security rope barriers may also be opened by simple request to the supervisory personnel.
  • Stairs are fitted with fixed ramps on the right hand side. Doorsteps and covered passageways are lit up.
  • Adapted guided visit « whatever the way » for groups, with prior booking.
