"Christmas through the centuries"
From 3rd December 2016 to 8th January 2017

"Christmas, Christmas!". These cries of joy from the princes still resonate through the royal loggia. But, nativity festivities have evolved greatly over the centuries, from the Renaissance, from the 18th and 19th centuries, in the specially decorated royal loggia. The main theme of this year will be the Three Kings.
Special Christmas audio-guided visit (additional cost).



Monday 12nd December

At 3.00pm, Christmas Carols proposed by students of Louis Blanc de La Varenne St Hilaire college.


Wednesday 21st December

Children's afternoon
At 2.30pm, Clementine's Christmas show
It's so nice to write to the Santa Claus to ask him all for that we want ! But this year, everything may be different… For children from 4 to 8 years old. Duration : 1 hour
At 3.30pm, Special guided visit for families "Christmas during the centuries, told for children"


From 26th to 31st December, every day at 3.30pm

Special guided visit for families "Christmas during the centuries, told for children" Our younger visitors will be able to discover Christmas traditions through the centuries in the specially decorated loggia (Neapolitan crib, Christmas trees and exhibition of old toys.)


Wednesday 28th December

From 2.00pm at 4.30pm, workshop of shortbread cookies decorations for children.
At 2.30pm, story time
Christmas show presented by Jean-François Talon.


Thursday 5th January 2017

In the afternoon
Two days before Epiphany, the council room of the castle will welcome the best manufacturer of King cakes of Indre-et-Loire. Prize-giving at 4:30 pm followed by a tasting.
