The Château is open every day of the year, except 1st January and 25th December.

Ticket office staff welcome visitors in French and English.

The park will close 1 hour after the ticket office

For disabled visitors, recommanded access 1 hour before the ticket office closes.

CONDITIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL VISITORS (IN TOURISM)

Professional admission fee: the « Group fee » is applied for 1 person or more on presentation of proof of professional status at the ticket office.

Discount: preferential rates may be granted depending on the amount of visitors after signature of an agreement. In exchange, professional visitors undertake to promote the Château of Amboise among their clients.

Around the ramparts 

Do not heckle and yell near the ramparts.

Do not climb the walls and the ramparts.

Think of the tranquility and safety of those nearby. You are also reminded that the throwing of any projectile from the top of the ramparts may be dangerous for those nearby.


Evacuation in case of fire 

In the case of an incident, a siren will sound and light up (an evacuation message will be given in French and English).

The personnel, easily identified thanks to their yellow jackets, are responsible for calmly evacuating the public.

The permanent personnel trained in Safety First (AFPS and PSC1 – French qualifications) are able to offer safety-first assistance to visitors.

How to get to Amboise

By car : GPS N47.412908 E 0.985605

Motorway A10, take the Amboise exit, then the D31 followed by the N152 for 15 km.

Motorway A28, take the Tours-Sud interchange in the direction of the A85.

Motorway A85, take the Bléré – Amboise - Chenonceau exit, then the D31 in the direction of Amboise.

TGV (Fast train) station, Tours/St. Pierre-des-Corps is 20km from the château and is linked by SNCF trains to Amboise station. Direct INTERCITES trains also available from Paris/Austerlitz station to Amboise station, journey time under 2hrs.

Walking time from Amboise station is 17 minutes (1.3km).
