What is Noël au Pays des Châteaux (Christmas in the land of châteaux) ?
Noël au Pays des Châteaux (christmas in the land of châteaux) is designed as an itinerary linking six of the Loire Valley’s most famous châteaux (Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau, Loches and Chinon), around the major themes emblematic of the Christmas season. Each château takes on a different theme, but all have the same goal: to put stars in the eyes of children and adults alike!

“A Royal Christmas for the Animals”
Taking advantage of the court’s temporary absence, the many pets at the Château d’Amboise decided to secretly organize their own Christmas celebrations in the royal residence. Each, in its own way and using its unique skills and talents, ingeniously contributed to the creation of the decorations. Alongside Queen Anne’s multicolored birds, the big cats, the baby giraffe, and the ostrich mingle with the deer, birds of prey, and mischievous little rodents during these joyful preparations. As somewhat nosy guests, visitors to the château are invited this year to join in on this Christmas that’s truly unlike any other!
