Self-guided visits

Your group can visit the château autonomously, with the visitor guide and/or the Histopad tablet, both available free of charge. With the Histopad, you can choose between individual tablets for each group member, a tablet for two (the tablet has no sound, sharing is easy) or a large format tablet for the group leader. We have 600 tablets available at the château.

The Histopads are available in 12 languages: French, English, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

The guided visits option

You can use one of our guides/lecturers for your group visit on a day or at a time that suits you. For these visits, the guide price will be payable in addition to the entrance ticket cost. Our guides can individually accompany a group of up to 50 people. These visits are offered in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

 

Beyond 20 minutes late, the guided tour service is no longer guaranteed in its entirety.

SPECIFIC SCHOOL VISITS

Throughout the time on site, children must remain under the constant supervision of accompanying adults.

Guided visits

Our guide/lecturers offer guided visits adapted to the class level and their school programme. For these visits, the guide price will be payable in addition to the entrance ticket cost. Our guides can individually accompany up to 50 children and their accompanying adults. These visits are offered in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

These guided visits with commentary of the Royal Loggia and the St. Hubert Chapel (tomb of Leonardo da Vinci), there is a selection of five visits adapted to each level of the French Education Ministry’s national program. .

Includes the teacher’s booklet (document in French downloadable after booking) .

  • Visit 1 “The Château of the Valois Kings” (Reception, Year 1, Year 2)
  • Visit 2 “The Court of the Valois Kings, cradle of the French Renaissance” (Year 4, Year 5, Year 6)
  • Visit 3 “The Antiquities and Religion at the heart of the French Renaissance” (Year 7)
  • Visit 4 “The Great developments of the French Renaissance” (Year 8)
  • Visit 5 “The slow construction of a modern state and the opening towards the world” (Years 9-13)

Did you know? If you are at the château at lunchtime or snack time, you can sit and picnic on the garden lawns with your pupils.
