CLASSIC GUIDED VISITS
"The château throughout the centuries"
Guided tours for all audiences in French are temporarily suspended. every day in July and August, by reservation with a supplement of 2 €
Departures at fixed times: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
45-minute guided tour, including the Saint-Hubert chapel and the 2 Renaissance floors of the Logis.
Group of 20 people maximum.
* In addition, presentations "The castle in 10 minutes flat" will be offered by the castle guides as an introduction to the independent visit (Notice or Histopad). Outdoor presentations, in French at regular intervals in July and August, from 9:30 am to 6 pm, without reservation.

Individual visitors can discover the château and its gardens at their own pace using a visitor guide. CHRISTMAS, CHILDHOOD DREAMS, SHARING MAGICAL MEMORIES
From 5th December 2021 to 3rd January 2022. The little Renaissance princes celebrated the nativity festivities at the royal château of Amboise. Now, 500 years later, this joyous tradition lives on. Festive “Christmas, childhood dreams” decor will enrich the permanent collections. It is a chance for different generations to unite around imagination and memories of our childhood Christmases. Super-sized staging, renewed every year, is installed throughout the visitor route.

TOWERS AND UNDERGROUND AREAS
"The Corridors of History",
Individual visitors (in a small group, formed in situ) will get the exceptional opportunity to enter the underground passageways and towers of the medieval fortress situated under the Renaissance royal loggia. Thus they will enter at the foot of the ramparts in the Garconnet Tower, built in the 15th century on the orders of Louis XI, before reaching the Lys Room, former guards’ refectory. From there, they will take a round trip through the ditches of the former keep and walk along the rooms where stone was stored. Visitors will then enter the underground mazes before reaching the Minimes cavalry tower.
One-hour, guided visit in French for individual visitors in good physical condition, aged 7 and up.
